Dear esteemed readers and authors,

Greetings from the desk of the Editor-in-Chief! At the very beginning, I wish to convey my sincere thanks to each one of you for the journal’s growing popularity. It has been exactly 10 years of publication since the ‘Medicine & Health’ journal began its journey in 2006. Heartiest congratulations to everybody!

Over the last decade, many hurdles were encountered but we managed to sail smoothly. I am happy to inform you that the journal has started a new section on latest techniques. This section comprises articles which educate the medical personnel with latest techniques and methods which may be beneficial for better treatment.

On its 10th anniversary, I am happy to let you know that all research articles published in ‘Medicine & Health’ journal will have digital object identifier (DOI) number with immediate effect. I convey my sincere thanks and gratitude to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre management, especially Prof. Dato’ Dr Raymond Azman Ali (Ex-Dean), Prof. Dr. Ima Nirwana Soelaiman (Deputy Dean of Research & Innovation), Prof. Dr. Zaleha Abdullah Mahdy (Present Dean) and Prof. Dato’ Dr. Roslan Abdul Shukor (Chair, UKM Press) for their constant support in helping us to have the DOI with effect from the 2016;6(1) issue.

I also wish to thank all the editorial board members and reviewers for their support and help. We march ahead to the future with our sincere efforts for indexation of the journal in higher academic databases. I look forward to a favorable respond from all readers and authors.
